Content moderator, Portuguese market

Assessing user-submitted content against platform policies, with written reasoning for every decision.

Salary band

We do not publish salary bands on job posts. The band for the role is presented at first interview, before we ask you for any expectation. Publishing a range the hiring manager has not agreed would be a promise made on someone else's behalf.

About the role

Let us be direct about what the role involves: regular exposure to disturbing content. The operation has queue rotation, daily exposure limits and available psychological support, and that is an operating condition rather than a benefit.

What you will do

  • Apply platform policies to Portuguese-language content, consistently across cases.
  • Give written reasoning for every decision, for appeals and transparency reporting.
  • Escalate borderline cases rather than deciding alone against precedent.

What is required

  • Native European Portuguese and knowledge of the market's cultural context.
  • Steady judgement under volume and the ability to follow policy rather than instinct.

What is valued

  • A second Portuguese variant or another platform language.

What we offer

  • A Portuguese employment contract, with the fourteen annual payments, a meal allowance on a card and health insurance from the sixth month.
  • Paid training in the first month and a written progression plan, reviewed every six months with your direct manager.
  • Twenty-five days of holiday, above the legal minimum, and schedule flexibility within the team's coverage window.

Application

Your application is recorded in the recruitment system and processed only for this process, and for similar ones for twelve months if you consent to that. We do not ask for files in this form: if the process advances, the CV is requested by direct reply. You can withdraw consent at any time through the contacts in the privacy policy.

We reply within 6 hours on working days.
