Uzbekistan
Engineering and IT from Uzbekistan
Tashkent is the network's lowest-cost destination for engineering, IT and AI work, with half a working day overlapping Portugal.
- Local time
- :
- Cost index
- 35
- Lisbon = 100, fully loaded cost
- Personal data
- Outside the EEA. Requires standard contractual clauses.
- Languages delivered
- Inglês, Russo, Uzbeque

Why Uzbekistan
Cost and the availability of technical profiles. The cost index is the lowest in the network for engineering work, and the market produces a volume of technical graduates western Europe cannot hire at the same price.
The overlap is enough for engineering work but not for synchronous service to a European customer. Half a shared day covers reviews, planning and unblocking; it does not cover a support line on Portuguese hours.
What we run here
- Software development and dedicated teams
- Manual and automated QA, including regression
- Managed services and monitoring
- AI training data annotation and preparation
What we do not do from here
We do not deliver in Portuguese from Uzbekistan, and we do not recommend synchronous customer support for the Portuguese market from here: a half-day overlap does not sustain it. It sits outside the European Economic Area, so standard contractual clauses apply.
Services delivered from here

- Training dataCollection, annotation and review of model training data, including European Portuguese and the African variants.
Frequently asked questions
What is the overlap with Portugal?
Four to five hours ahead depending on season, which gives the whole Portuguese morning shared.
Which languages do you work in?
English and Russian. There is no Portuguese delivery from Uzbekistan.
Is it suitable for customer support?
For asynchronous and technical support in English, yes. For synchronous service to the Portuguese customer, no.
What about data?
Outside the EEA. Standard contractual clauses and a transfer impact assessment apply.
How long does a team take to start here?
Three to six weeks from a signed proposal, depending on the profile. Transition begins by documenting the process, not by transferring it.
What is the minimum size?
Three full-time people for a dedicated team. Below that we propose a shared team.
Can we start with a pilot?
Yes, and it is what we recommend. Thirty days, with scope and metrics defined before it starts.
Who manages the team?
Corpshore. Performance management, training and retention are our responsibility, with a single point of contact on your side.
Start with a 30-day pilot
A small scope, with agreed metrics and the data transfer framework settled from the outset. It is the least risky way to find out whether the model works for you.
