About the role
Portugal has one of Europe's most demanding digital tax reporting regimes, which makes this a technical rather than an administrative role.
What you will do
- Process entries and reconciliations within the Portuguese chart of accounts.
- Prepare the information supporting SAF-T and filing obligations.
- Identify discrepancies before close rather than during audit.
What is required
- Training in accounting and practice with the Portuguese chart of accounts.
- Documentary rigour: in accounting, the record is the work.
What is valued
- Registration with the certified accountants' body, or a path towards it.
What we offer
- A Portuguese employment contract, with the fourteen annual payments, a meal allowance on a card and health insurance from the sixth month.
- Paid training in the first month and a written progression plan, reviewed every six months with your direct manager.
- Twenty-five days of holiday, above the legal minimum, and schedule flexibility within the team's coverage window.
